This end table was designed to maximize surface area without including a drawer, resulting in an open concept table with two levels for storage. The top of the table is made from a single piece of wood, allowing the grain the flow over the corners of the table. This feature is further emphasized by the use of a roundover on all corners, which also softens the profile of the box visually. The leg panels were made with the intention of providing ample surface area to show off the beauty and complexity of walnut and at the same time allowing the table to maintain a light feel through the use of curves to expose connection points between top and leg assembly. This piece was designed and construcuted under the supervision of Kyle Kidwell of Kidwell Fabrications.
